Department: - GPSTECH DOME GENERAL IND

In this role, you will:

• Payments Platform Ownership

• Manage and optimize batch and online processing of high-volume transaction systems, including domestic and low-value financial transfers.

• Ensure resilience and efficiency in time-sensitive financial message processing and validation workflows.

• Mainframe Application Management

• Lead end-to-end technical support, enhancement, and integration of COBOL/CICS-based enterprise transaction processing applications.

• Own scheduling, job orchestration, and troubleshooting using JCL, TWS, and associated tools.

• Incident and Impact Management

• Drive root cause analysis and resolution of critical system incidents within financial processing cycles.

• Define corrective and preventive actions for platform and process stability.

• Regulatory & Audit Compliance

• Maintain strict adherence to internal controls, audit standards, and industry regulations.

• Collaborate with risk and compliance teams to support inspections and certifications.

• Project & Release Coordination

• Support the full development lifecycle for system upgrades and platform enhancements within the transaction processing ecosystem.

• Review high- and low-level designs, conduct impact analysis, and provide implementation oversight.

• Team Leadership & Mentoring

• Lead and mentor geographically distributed teams, promoting cross-skilling and knowledge retention.

• Provide guidance to junior engineers and take ownership of training and documentation initiatives.

• Automation and DevOps Alignment

• Integrate DevOps practices and tools into legacy and modern systems, including Jenkins, JIRA, Confluence, and batch automation scripts.

• Reduce manual effort and build reusable deployment and test automation components.

• Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

• Engage business analysts, solution architects, and product owners to align development with broader strategic goals.

• Act as the technical SME for internal/external audits, compliance reviews, and platform transformation initiatives.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Mainframe Expertise: Extensive experience in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM, with advanced debugging and performance tuning skills.

• Payments Domain: Over 14 years of experience in financial transaction processing, including domestic transfers and reconciliation workflows.

• Certifications (Preferred): Accredited Professional in Electronic Payments (or equivalent domain-specific certifications)

• Tool Proficiency: Hands-on with IDz, ENDEVOR, FILE-MANAGER, TWS, and file transfer protocols like FTP/SFTP.

• Delivery Experience: Proven success in handling legacy modernization, batch scheduling, and large-scale system enhancements.

• Methodologies: Sound knowledge of SDLC, Agile, DevOps, and Change Management principles.

• Soft Skills: Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.Basic understanding of GPP/RTP applications.
