Performance Office, COO

Performance Office supports HASE COO with dedicated, forward thinking, strategic operational management.  It also leads and coordinates all teams in COO office in driving staff engagement, operational support, budget planning & cost management, business administration and also manage non-financial risk (NFR) projects for the bank. 
 
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join us as Senior NFR Manager and Project Specialist to manage NFR projects as first line of defense, orchestrate COO’s Office staff engagement programmes and lead internal communications agenda.

Principal responsibilities

  • Lead bank-level NFR Projects such as Deposit Protection Schemes, Integrated Regulatory Reporting.  Represent the bank as market lead in Group and/or represent the bank as contact point to regulator, where needed.  Orchestrate with a wide span of stakeholders for budgeting, closing of issues, continuous enhancement, minimize risk and ensure compliance to regulator.

  • Lead the team in managing and reviewing Non-Financial Risk, as First Line of Defense, as delegate of COO as risk owner.  

  • Be responsible to plan for the team’s budget, coaching, training of team members.  

  • Be active in driving efficiency, streamline processes and elevate automation wherever applicable.  

  • Manage and develop internal communications to build close engagement among COO teams, disseminate timely information, align teams goals, build value culture and enable knowledge sharing and collaboration. 
     

Requirements
  • University degree in business administration, finance or operation management related field or associated relevant business experience

  • At least 10 years’ in banking industry, ideally relevant experience in finance, budgeting and cost management preferred

  • Possess strong leadership, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work under pressure; possess a change and agile mindset.

  • Knowledge of risk management

  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese

  • Great growth mindset and resilience to embrace change, overcome challenges and create space for curiosity creativity and connectivity.

  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
