Department: Group Data Technology WPB

In this role you will

  • Assess and report on the control position of global technology platforms and applications.
  • Review risks and issues, determining the risk and impact to the organisation and coordinating risk remediation efforts.
  • Maintain regular communication and reporting to senior management of the risk and control position.
  • Represent WPB Data Tech at key risk and control forums, highlighting challenges and updates.
  • Proactively drive activities to identify resilience and control gaps, while providing insight into upcoming risks.
  • Collaborate with risk & control experts to understand latest control expectations, while driving controls best-practice across global technology teams

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements

  • A good understanding of Wealth and Personal Banking (Retail Banking) including banking services offered and the risks associated with such services.
  • Excellent understanding of Operational & Resilience Risk, including Technology, Cyber Security and Data Controls
  • Experience in assessing risks, determining potential impacts and influencing stakeholders to focus on risk remediation.
  • Experience of assessing the control environment of global technology platforms/systems, while coordinating control implementation across technology teams
  • Experience of technology and engineering team practice, including change governance (Software Development Lifecycle)
  • Excellent communication, both written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present to senior management and large groups of individuals.
  • Excellent prioritisation and planning skills, with the ability to structure and present project plans to senior stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of working with JIRA and Microsoft Excel.
