Global Risk is a thriving and expert risk management function supporting HSBC globally with all aspects of risk management. The team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types, including security, fraud, information security, contingency, geopolitical, operational, credit, pension, insurance, market and reputation risks. All parts of the Global Risk team use their skills, insight, and integrity to handle established threats and those they see emerging, acting to protect and enable HSBC to deliver sustainable growth.

 

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

 

In this role, you will:

The jobholder is responsible for supporting the oversight of regulatory reporting under Retail Credit Risk stewardship
-    Undertake key risk stewardship activities defined in RMF for RCR regulatory reporting risk 
-    Provide SME advice, guidance and effective challenge for RCR regulatory reporting process  
-    Review regulatory reporting control environment to identify improvement opportunity
-    Supporting to design, develop and implement end to end as risk stewardship from WPB Risk perspective
-    Closely work with relevant 1LOD and 2LOD to ensure steward business requirements are clearly articulated.
-    Supporting Global Lead to roll out the risk stewardship for regulatory reporting and ensure timely implementation within HBCN. 

Requirements

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • University degree in a relevant discipline
  • At least 5 years' relevant working experience in retail risk management or financial reporting
  • In depth knowledge of retail credit business with a good understanding of product, system and process
  • Understanding regulatory environment specifically related to data management and regulatory reporting
  • Well-developed analytical skill and strategic thinking
  • Highly motivated mindset, with the ability to work collaboratively with various internal/external stakeholders to deliver assignments on time
  • Planning, organisation skills, negotiation skills, ability to influence people and effective communication
  • Expertise in project management and good interpersonal skills
