The Vendor and Change Management Lead will be a senior role in the newly created Trustee Management Office (“TMO”). The TMO is expected to be set up throughout 2025 and operate as BAU after the onboarding of HSBC to the eMPF platform with the primary function to facilitate and support any residual administration services (RAS) that is over and above the scope of the appointed RAS vendor and eMPF Platform.

The Opportunity:

The Vendor and Change Management Lead will be reporting to the Head of Operations, HPFT and manage the setup of the overall organisation of the TMO, managing budget, risk, business continuity planning as well as senior stakeholders both internally and externally. The role will need to work closely with the TPEM Support Manager and Change Manager to ensure sound management of the TMO and external vendors.

What you’ll do:

  • Assist the Head of Operations, HPFT in the overall management and strategic planning of TMO, and the management of external vendors.

  • Responsible for establishing and managing budget, resourcing, hiring, training and staff engagement.

  • Proactively drive positive change to uphold continuous business optimization by periodically assessing processes and identifying streamlining opportunities.

  • Responsible for Internal management information reporting and data analytics.

  • Responsible for managing risks, issues and/ or any dependencies that may impact TMO operations.

  • Act as the key contact from TMO and attend relevant internal and external governance forums involving key stakeholders such as eMPF Platform Company, RAS vendor and others.

  • Coordinate with HSBC stakeholders, Sponsors and RAS vendor to propose any bespoke requirements to the eMPF platform as and when necessary.

Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:

  • University Degree Holder.

  • Over 12 years working experience, preferably within the areas of pension funds, ORSO and MPF.

  • Good communication skills, including excellent written and spoken Chinese and English; proficiency in Putonghua is a plus.

  • Strong leadership skill.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and motivate staff.

  • Analytical to enhance system and procedures.

  • Strong project management skill.

  • Strong interpersonal skill and negotiation skill to deal with clients.

  • Problem solving skills and be client / regulator focused.

  • Eager to learn and strive for continuous improvement.

  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Willing to change and be proactive to drive change.

  • High integrity and professionalism.
