- We are currently seeking an experienced and high caliber GCB 4 to join our team in Credit Services and Collateral Management, South & South East Asia Pacific, Hyderabad Location.
The Opportunity:
Process Owner for Pre-Approval Delivery Services within Credit Services with expertise in financial statement spreading and ratio analysis. Responsible for leading and driving change, managing stakeholder relationship, embedding a culture of process simplification, innovation and efficiency in credit lending journey, implementing a robust risk management framework, and driving key strategic initiatives across GSC and Onshore.
What you’ll do:
Service management!
- Responsible for the successful delivery of all Pre-Approval services across Credit Services including Financial Spreading, Application Creation, Conditions & Covenants.
- Support the Global Head of Credit Services & CMU Business Service to define strategy and deliver on agreed set of business objectives.
- Work closely with Process owners for Post Approval and Collateral Management services to deliver great customer outcomes across the lending value chain.
- Develop and deliver the annual demand & forecast plan for Pre-Approval through, liaising with regional leads, key line of business stakeholders and business management teams.
- Implement and maintain global best practice in accordance with the Business Services Operating Model, seeking dispensation for any variance.
- Ensure that the market delivery service performance is proactively managed to mitigate the impact of fluctuations in volumes so that customer outcomes are protected, and internal stakeholders’ expectations are met.
- Provide the required subject matter expertise to manage the end-to-end Credit and Lending journey.
Transformation & Change
- Primary contract for strategic transformation and change initiatives for Pre-Approval.
- Responsible for executing the global strategy into markets by collaborating with regional leads, WCL value stream, Transformation, and IT.
- Drive stakeholder engagement to enable the services to transform and improve customer outcomes, reduce Unit cost of operations, whilst managing risk exposure.
- Facilitate an environment that encourages a change mindset to enable agile transformation delivery that results in In year and annualized targets being met.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities to align with the global operating Model.
Risk & Control
- Key contact for Audit, Risk stewards & CCO for all risk and control issues for Pre-Approval.
- Ensure adherence to controls and drive teams to achieve compliance to the operations risk management framework.
- Proactive identify process control risks and control weakness to reduce the exposure of incidents that impact HSBC reputation, adversely impact the customer journey and/or financial loss.
- Implement global process that support the War on Manual Controls.
- Strong governance of costs and Headcount to ensure FRP targets are met.
Leadership & People
- Develop Skillsets within the team to manage stakeholder meetings, strategic projects and governance.
- Lead and contribute actively to the Credit Services people strategy.
- Implement the BWOT ‘future fit skill’ people strategy across locations.
- Inspire and lead by example.
What you will need to succeed in the role:
- Expert Knowledge of the Financial Spreading and Risk Modelling process.
- Graduate/Postgraduate in commerce, MBA, MBA Finance, CA, CS
- 10 years of relevant experience for an internal Candidate, 12 + years of experience for an external candidate
- In-depth understanding of the End-to-end lending process and Credit Risk.
- High level of drive and motivation to ensure successful delivery of complex transformational initiatives
- Collaborative end to end leadership style which enables interdependent outcomes and works across boundaries in an agile and connected manner.
- Employs strong analytical & problem-solving skills to manage shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
- Strong commercial orientation, appreciating the business usage of systems developed.
- Strong risk management capability – identification, mitigation and control.
- Positive, can-do attitude with the ability to succeed in a fast-paced work environment.
- Excellent communication skills, applicable through multiple channels (written, spoken, workshops, presentations, to enable effective communication at the most senior levels. The role holder will consider the impact/reactions when developing plans and implementing fast-paced change.
- Ability to present complex issues confidently and concisely to executives, non-executives, and regulators. Make use of simple language to accommodate globally distributed stakeholders.
- Work well under pressure, demonstrate flexibility, and adapt to rapidly changing priorities across activities that are highly confidential in nature, unpredictable, and wide ranging.
- Senior executive-level relationship management, collaboration, and influencing skills. Ability to lead, motivate, and develop internal relationships effectively at all levels.
- Knowledge of HSBC Group or other global organizations with appreciation of other cultures.
