In this role, you will:

  • Manage vulnerability remediation and Patch Management control governance activities and ensure that KCI’s are green for service lines.
  • Manage, monitor and report progress, issues, dependencies, risks to Program Manager and/or steering committees and make recommendations to influence decision-making in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realization.

  • Co-ordinates activities within a delivery team which may consist of more than one team, collaborating with the Application SME’s for vulnerability remediation, Patching Co-ordination and driving automation initiatives.
  • Manage relationships and coordinate work activities (including vendor partners). Accountable for functional line management and budget responsibility for the Technology component of the Change.
  • Delivery execution assurance for the Technology portion of the Project in line with HSBC Group change methodologies. Ensuring that all Technology Practices and associated tools are being adopted and adhered to within the Project.
  • Accountable to the Technology Program Manager, or Business Manager where applicable for delivery of the Technology agile project outputs within the Business Change Program.
  • In some cases, assume accountability for key change Programs that span multiple Agile teams. Responsible for delivering within the global sourcing model to enable resource demand and supply in support of Project demand.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Vulnerability Management, Vulnerability Assessment, Patch Management. Risk& issue management. Manages tracking of risks/issues/ dependencies, validating them as they arise in coordination with the Program team; takes ownership for critical issues and ensures resolution within agreed timescales.
  • Managing risk responsibly. Embeds efficient risk and compliance processes and procedures into business as usual practices. Driving sustainable growth. Engages with colleagues to offer commercially viable, sustainable proposals aligned to HSBC's strategy.
  • Achieving excellence. Focuses on medium and long-term goals even when under pressure or in uncertainty. Project management. Translates business objectives into high level project and Program plans, agrees priorities and sets out roadmap for project delivery.
  • Customer focus. Promotes and prioritise decisions or actions according to customer needs, encouraging others to do the same. Strengthen stakeholder relationships. Uses relationship management skills/tools to responsibly influence decisions and stakeholder advocacy.
  • Effectively engages customers, colleagues, and stakeholders to build a trust-based relationship and deliver a connected service. Willingness to take ownership of the project and demonstrate can do attitude which will motivate other team members.
  • Demonstrate lateral thinking and ability to act on initiatives. Ability to influence other stakeholders and demonstrate interpersonal skill. Build relations with the customer and other IT entities. Engagement and buy-in for project approach with level 4 –5 Managers.
  • Promotes and manages relevant monitoring and reporting requirements within their team. Anticipates and identifies legal, regulatory and compliance risk, ensuring appropriate and timely action is taken to mitigate them. Collaboration and Clear Direction with level 6 –8 Delivery Partners.
  • There will be a moderate number of systems or processes being implemented or changed. A moderate number of delivery partners requiring coordination to affect the change. Moderately compressed delivery timelines –medium contingency in the plan.
