The Wealth Direct Relationship Officer plays a critical role in client engagement, deepening share of wallet and ongoing relationship management. This role provides support to Wealth Direct Relationship Managers, specifically focusing on being Connected, Accountable, Responsive and Empathic to client opportunities from a needs-based approach.   To deliver high quality engagement, this client facing individual must have a strong understanding of the financial services industry including, but not limited to banking, lending, and brokerage operations.  Work is often performed under the direction of registered securities representatives (Wealth Direct Relationship Manager). 

As our Wealth Direct Relationship Officer you will:

  • Drive growth and deepen relationships focusing on our international client base
  • Support the WDRM(s) by addressing administrative tasks, allowing for increased WRM capacity to engage with clients, address their needs and conduct higher value activities 
  • In the absence of WDRMs, manage client contact and service by answering client calls, resolving client inquiries, facilitating a smooth hand-off to the correct channels where appropriate, and managing key event reminders to maintain active client contact
  • Engage the client from a non-securities perspective by introducing new products and services on a needs-based approach to deepen the HSBC relationship and increase revenue for the Bank
  • Provide sales support to licensed sales staff including preparing and completing documents, managing data entry and report generation, and liaising with support functions to follow through on client process requirements
  • Assist the Wealth Direct team with all operating needs
  • Assist in maintaining NDIP (Non-Deposit Investment Products) policy standards and avoiding client confusion between Bank and Wealth products.
  • Understand and adhere to Group and Company policies and procedures, and meet all required mandatory training requirements
  • Maintain a working understanding and technical knowledge of relevant products and services

For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $60,000.00 and $75,000.00

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Requirements

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • Strong interpersonal and responsiveness skills with good decision making and ability to deliver
  • Minimum of three years working in financial services industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, related field, or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of brokerage products and services, operations supporting them and pertinent regulations affecting their delivery
  • Previous experience in retail banking and wealth preferred.
  • Understanding of core products, Premier proposition, and familiar with retail and wealth product processes
  • Understanding of relationship management systems (CRM and RM Platform, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of appropriate branch operational procedures
  • Knowledge of Anti Money Laundering Knowledge of relevant regulatory governance in US
  • Team player, collaborative skills combined with understanding client needs.
