CIB Banking Transformation & Performance is responsible for world-class strategic transformation of CIB Banking through smart execution. We act as strategic partners to business and create world class digital capabilities that enable HSBC CIB Banking to digitize at scale and simplify the lives of our colleagues & customers. We are a team of ~500 globally and over 40 in Poland, driving design, business change, product ownership, simplification and automation across CIB Banking Value Streams (Client Onboarding and Servicing, Global Payments Solutions, Global Trade & Receivables Finance, Capital Markets, Sustainability, Platforms & Regulatory programmes).

Your career opportunity
The purpose of this role is to shape and execute against CIB Banking’ global strategic change agenda. Strategic Business Change Managers will collaborate with CMB & GB Business to deliver Change the Bank (CTB) programmes to digitize products, propositions and internal processes. They will have proven experience of shaping and executing against the overall programme OKRs; be responsible for the timely and high quality delivery, adhering to HSBC core practices & frameworks (Change Framework, Value Streams, Agile) and for managing outcomes, costs, risks and issues, working to ensure benefits and values are realised.

We’re looking for someone who can make sense of ambiguity, create structure, and move things forward - someone who takes ownership, connects people and ideas, and turns analysis into action.

Note this is a CTA funded role that is expected to run for the duration of the programme (Sep 2026).

What you’ll do
    • Understand existing operational processes within CIB CS in depth - from people to systems - and identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvements.
    • Design and recommend practical solutions, including potential AI- or automation-based enhancement ideas to assess and build the case for further development.
    • Proactively explore and recommend new opportunities, even beyond the initial scope - by connecting the dots between data, people, and business needs.
    • Gather, document, and analyse business requirements through stakeholder interviews, data analysis, and process mapping. Develop clear and structured project documentation, ex. business cases, proposals, presentations.
    • Create and deliver impactful presentations, business cases, and reports for decision-making forums.
    • Lead working group sessions or workshops to gather inputs and drive consensus.
    • Build strong working relationships across operations, IT, and management teams to influence decisions and drive outcomes.
    • Lead and manage projects end-to-end, from discovery to execution, ensuring alignment with business goals. Plan, track, and report project progress - Ensuring timely delivery and accountability.
    • Adhere strictly to compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC and regulatory standards, policies and practices; report concerns or observations in terms of control weaknesses, compliance breaches and operational risk impact.

What will help you to succeed in this role
    • Project Management Skills: previous relevant project management/ business analysis experience, delivered projects with medium to high complexity and scope, experience in developing business cases, proposals, presentations and other high impact documents.
    • CIB CDD Process Understanding: (Onboarding and Existing to Bank) across all roles.
    • Strong Analytical Mindset: Ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and turn findings into actionable recommendations.
    • Resourcefulness: You can self-sufficiently take a loosely defined goal and figure out how to make it happen.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills: Comfortable with leading meetings, engaging both senior leaders and operational staff, asking the right questions and handling pushback constructively.
    • Solid experience using Excel and PowerPoint: You will use these tools daily to analyse problems and build reports for senior and executive management.
    • Interest in Automation, or AI-driven process optimization tools.
