What you will do: 

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of clients within Global Network Banking Ireland, holding end-to-end accountability for relationship management. Own and develop key client relationships, with a primary focus on the Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) sector, ensuring consistent coverage, strong client engagement, and effective delivery of banking solutions.
  • Provide relationship coverage for primarily US-headquartered Regional Treasury Centre (RTC) clients, including leading multinationals operating international treasury hubs. Engage senior decision-makers based in Ireland and elsewhere, ensuring consistent service, strategic dialogue, and effective coordination across stakeholders to support client needs, strengthen partnerships, and drive sustainable business outcomes across global markets.
  • This role sits at the heart of HSBC’s strategy – acting as a super connector between our client HQs and the rest of the international network, as we build the #1 CIB.

In this role you will:

  • Manage a client portfolio, increase connectivity, drive high-quality client dialogue, identify new relationships/marketing opportunities, and improve relationship returns through focused business development.
  • Build deep client understanding, chair meetings, act as strategic point of contact, and maximize client dialogue to originate opportunities and deliver sustainable revenue growth.
  • Lead deal teams through end-to-end execution (including Capital/Credit processes), delegate effectively to keep deals on track, and deepen product expertise and internal networks to strengthen client conversations.
  • Network with key client decision makers in Ireland and other markets, including international travel
  • Manage financial and non-financial risks (including financial crime) in partnership with stakeholders, meet all deadlines, uphold Code of Conduct/HSBC values, and contribute beyond core role such as ERGs, organizing client or internal knowledge events.
  • Prepare structured credit memorandums (reviews, new money, ad-hoc), partner with Risk/Portfolio teams on recommendations, optimize facility utilization, and spot/raise early warning signals on potential credit issues.
  • Line manager and mentor other team members to help drive a high performance culture.
  • Help build the HSBC and specifically GNB brand through clients, internal key stakeholders across our network, external trade and business bodies and consultants.

  • Strong interpersonal capability, with a proven ability to inspire, influence and negotiate effectively with both clients and colleagues.
  • Experience in managing event and flow transactions, ensuring smooth execution and consistent delivery.
  • Entrepreneurial and innovative mindset, with a practical, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
  • Highly organized and results-driven, able to plan effectively, prioritize well and follow through with tenacity to achieve outcomes.
