We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Sr. Associate Director, Software Engineering Specialist
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development and enhancement of Restful APIs
- Focus on automating all aspects of the RedHat Linux, Windows & Virtualization platforms
- Lead the Engineering aspects of developing templates and playbooks on Ansible Automation Platform.
- Define, create & manage Ansible roles
- Implement secrets management for applications using standard available tools.
- Increase speed of provisioning, availability, and performance.
- Work with Agile Teams, Architects, and Product Owners to identify and implement the most optimal solutions.
- Ensure the automation solutions meet compliance & other audit requirements
- Lead the migration of various technology stacks from one platform to another.
- Provide technical advice to team members and contribute to upskilling of the team.
- Innovate new solutions and ensure the products use latest technology stacks
Requirements
Qualifications – External
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering or related field.
- Person should have more than 15+ years of experience.
- 5 to 8 years of hands-on development experience, Subject Matter Expert (SME) in development of Ansible playbooks and templates on Ansible Automation Platform (AAP).
- Deep understanding of how to leverage AAP capabilities for developing Automation for large/Enterprise server estate.
- Knowledge and understanding of Linux or Windows Operating System and its related modules.
- Proficient in Python language with exposure to Python or Java Springboot APIs.
- Advanced skills in developing and testing automation using Ansible Playbooks and Jenkins via API calls
- Bachelor/master’s degree in engineering discipline with a minimum of 10 years of work experience.
- Hands-on experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and code management in a large organization using GitHub
- Experience of working with agile practices and toolsets including JIRA and Confluence
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to work with globally distributed teams and stakeholders
- Experience working with and managing Jenkins pipelines for code testing and continuous deployment.
- Experience in developing scripts in PowerShell or bash with some level of understanding of Server Operating Systems..
