We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Asset Management Business Transformation – Investments
Role Purpose:
The role is within the HSBC Asset Management Business Transformation – Investments (BTI) team.
BTI manage the delivery of change initiatives for the HSBC AM Investment function. BTI ensure effective change management and oversight utilising group-standard programme governance frameworks and tools.
The role holder will provide business analysis for the front office and dealing initiatives. Ideally the role holder will have Trading and fund management skills and be able to define new workflow tools, including integration, testing and roll-out.
Main Activities:
- Gather requirements (functional and non-functional) and define scope.
- Document the target Operating Model, Business and Service models.
- Engage with key stakeholders to define and document the solution design.
- Documenting process flows and procedures and work with global locations to implement changes.
- Build and execute test plans and help coordinate user testing and subsequent system release and roll-out to global investment teams.
- Regular status reporting to Project and Programme Management
- Knowledge of the Investment Lifecycle with particular emphasis on the trading workflow
- Knowledge of cross-asset classes with emphasis on fixed income and derivatives.
- Knowledge of Transaction Costs Analysis and the exposure to commercial systems that support this.
- Experience of EMS trading system and associated data sets including real time pricing and analytics
- Asset Management Middle-Office, Back-Office, Performance, Risk, Reporting, Compliance is a plus.
- Bloomberg AIM order management system or another mainstream OMS system would be a plus
- Experience of RFPs and selecting outsourcing partner and then implementing agreed solution with selected partner
- Multi-disciplinary – ability to support the shaping of the business requirements and solution designs that encompass all aspects of the delivery (stakeholders, process, policy, technology, data, infrastructure etc.)
- Experience of executing re-engineering efforts across a global business. Ability to maintain a global perspective of business transformation and re-engineering efforts.
- Experience in documenting operating and support models and an understanding of SLAs and KPIs to measure the quality of post-production services.
- Ability to build and execute test plans and help coordinate user testing and subsequent system release and roll-out to global investment teams.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good written/verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lead groups of individuals on a project basis.
- Ability to render quick decisive actions as required by sudden crises.
- Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple projects/tasks.
- Strong Analytical/problem solving skills.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of five years relevant experience
- A good understanding of data, databases, data normalisation and data migration projects and the challenges associated (understanding of SQL would be useful)
- A good understanding of agile software building on cloud platforms - including feature backlogs, UI/UX design principles and continuous deployment
