Position title: Associate Director, Software Engineering Specialist

In this role, you will:

 

  • Overall responsibility for the test function and its execution.

  • Engage with key stake holders to establish demand

  • Standardization & rolling out of common approach to testing across all the delivery streams

  • Establish testing processes, including regression, performance & non-functional testing for all delivery streams

  • Communicate, monitor, track and report testing progress to the stakeholders and ensure risks, actions and issues identified and effectively managed.

  • Understand complexities and dependencies with upstream and downstream systems.

  • QA project and testing outputs, ensuring they have been reviewed and signed off by the appropriate groups prior to test execution.

  • Establish feedback cycle to improve the testing process

  • Monitor and report on the progress of testing using various test reports

  • Ensure well structured, fully documented, executable test scripts and conditions

  • Ensure test results and test logs maintain and meet programme or project audit requirements.

  • Lead the test automation work and should be able to guide/help team members with technical issues

  • Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work; and mentoring and developing team members.

  • Promote empowerment of the team, ensure that each team member is fully engaged in the project and making a meaningful contribution, and encourage a sustainable pace with high levels of quality for the team.

  • Managing stakeholder communications and helping to implement an effective system of project governance

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • 10 – 15 years of experience in QA management and delivering complex technology solutions

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as he/she has to work in global environments.

  • Prior experience of leading testing for a project/module from establishing testing processes to execution and maintaining test log for audit purpose.

  • Understand the testing effort by analysing the requirements of project.

  • Develop the test plan for the tasks, dependencies and participants required to mitigate the risks to system quality and obtain stakeholder support for this plan.

  • Assign task to Test Team members and track the progress/support the team members where required.

  • Hands on experience on test automation using Java and Selenium, should be well versed with Version Control(GIT), CI/CD tools, Maven and SQL.

  • Experience of Agile delivery techniques, having delivered using Agile methodology in previous roles.

  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and proven fast learner

  • Takes ownership of tasks assigned to ultimate resolution

  • Willingness to learn and quick to adapt to changing requirements

     

     

    What additional skills will be good to have?

     

  • Surveillance / Communication Surveillance domain experience

  • Experience on products like Conduct Surveillance, CA Data Minder or Conduct Intelligence will be a huge plus.

  • Experience on GCP or any other cloud platform
