We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Specialist Engineering

 

In this role, you will:

  • Define and execute the department's risk and control strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on risk and control matters, providing strategic insights and recommendations.
  • Lead the development of a risk-aware culture across the department, fostering accountability and proactive risk management.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously enhance risk management and control frameworks to address emerging risks and evolving business needs.
  • Oversee the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks across varied platforms, ensuring comprehensive coverage of operational, financial, and technology risks.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor risk exposure and control effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements, staying ahead of changes in the regulatory landscape.
  • Lead governance forums, including Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, to ensure effective decision-making and risk mitigation.
  • Lead and mentor a team of risk and control professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on risk management practices, control procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize advanced reporting and visualization tools
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in risk management, internal controls, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in managing risk and controls across varied platforms, including technology, operations, and finance.
  • Strong expertise in regulatory compliance, governance frameworks, and industry best practices.
  • Advanced knowledge of reporting and visualization tools such as Splunk, Power BI, and any other.
  • Familiarity with automation tools and technologies to streamline risk and control processes.
  • Strong understanding of IT platforms, infrastructure, and associated risks.
  • Leadership and Communication:
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Change Management:
  • Extensive experience in leading change management initiatives and running CAB meetings.
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement in governance and control processes
