We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Specialist Engineering
- Define and execute the department's risk and control strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on risk and control matters, providing strategic insights and recommendations.
- Lead the development of a risk-aware culture across the department, fostering accountability and proactive risk management.
- Develop, implement, and continuously enhance risk management and control frameworks to address emerging risks and evolving business needs.
- Oversee the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks across varied platforms, ensuring comprehensive coverage of operational, financial, and technology risks.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor risk exposure and control effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements, staying ahead of changes in the regulatory landscape.
- Lead governance forums, including Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, to ensure effective decision-making and risk mitigation.
- Lead and mentor a team of risk and control professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on risk management practices, control procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize advanced reporting and visualization tools
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in risk management, internal controls, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in managing risk and controls across varied platforms, including technology, operations, and finance.
- Strong expertise in regulatory compliance, governance frameworks, and industry best practices.
- Advanced knowledge of reporting and visualization tools such as Splunk, Power BI, and any other.
- Familiarity with automation tools and technologies to streamline risk and control processes.
- Strong understanding of IT platforms, infrastructure, and associated risks.
- Leadership and Communication:
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Change Management:
- Extensive experience in leading change management initiatives and running CAB meetings.
- Ability to drive continuous improvement in governance and control processes
