We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Associate, General Insurance & Health Actuarial . 

Principal Responsibilities

The role will support the team in a wide range of actuarial valuation activities. This role provides a wide exposure across the Property & Casualty and Health business, allowing the individual to develop good business understanding across portfolios.

  • Support the setting, reviewing and monitoring of actuarial assumptions for reserving
  • Support the reporting and communication of reserves and other financials, under IFRS4 and IFRS17, to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Support actuarial investigations and business partnering to understand and improve business performance
  • Support the setting, reviewing and monitoring of actuarial assumptions for quarterly forecasting and business planning exercises
  • Support any other ad-hoc projects within the General Insurance & Health Actuarial team
  • Support the preparation and management of data used for the above activities
Requirements
  • Have relevant Property & Casualty or Health insurance experience
  • Good progress in actuarial exams
  • Excellent excel skills
  • Excellent data management skills, with experience in Python/SQL
  • Great presentation and communication skills, with ability to influence the team / internal stakeholders positively
  • Great analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Great team player, that is also independent with a self-starter mindset
  • Detail-oriented, versatile and committed
