We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Lead Consultant Specialist
In this role, you will
- Drive awareness of requirements across business units and identify substandard systems processes through evaluation of real-time data.
- Serve as thought leader for technical business processes, developing systems prototypes that promote increased efficiency and productivity on multiple levels.
- Create and implement precise management plans for every project, with attention to transparent communication at all levels.
- Perform, evaluate, and communicate thorough quality assurance at every stage of systems development.
- Determine and develop user requirements for systems in production, to ensure maximum usability.
- Setup calls/discussions between teams to resolve issues impacting testing. Including regular calls during test execution
- Overall test planning and test delivery including scope, schedule and budget.
- Overall resource planning (numbers, skills and training) and work assignments
- Cohesive integration of test and development activities (Ensure all test cases, requirements, defects are captured and updated in Jira.
- Use of metrics to support continual test process improvement.
- Acquisition of hardware and software for test environment
- Prepare/Review test metrics and publish.
- Conduct Risk Assessment and highlight all risks well in advance to customer and all parties and agree the mitigating actions.
- Major Challenges: The program covers Technology and Business changes across a number of business lines within the HSBC different teams/Group. Systems in scope are a mixture of global, regional and legacy systems – Coordination across all the groups will involve liaising across different business lines, and time zones.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Mandatory: To have SWIFT knowledge
- Have experience in payments processing for MT messages (MT103 & MT202) and MX payments (Pacs.008 & Pacs.009)
- Experience or Knowledge of Payment systems such as HUB and GPS.
- BA experience of interviewing users, gathering information, identifying common solutions across countries, specifying requirements at global or local level
- High level understanding of: accounting for payments, nostro reconciliations, cash management
- Experience of working with Global/UK/US/Asia based teams

- Experience of Software delivery in a DevOps or Agile approach
- Ability to effectively coordinate with upstream and downstream systems for desired outcome in terms of delivery, quality, scope, budget
- Excellent communication skills, with an ability to translate data into actionable insights
