Private Banking and Trust Services 

Hang Seng's Private Banking provides services for people who have successfully built their asset base and now want to place their wealth in the hands of experts who know how to nurture it. 

Our banking services and products are bespoke, ranging from tailored investment advice and capital solutions to holistic health and personal protection and trustee services. Our team offers professional wealth management advice at both a local level and on a global scale. 

Should you join our Private Banking business, you will focus on building close relationship with our high-net-worth customers, providing professional advice and premium service to them and contribute to the profitability of the Bank.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Business Development Manager.


Principal responsibilities:

  • Ideate, drive and engage the formulation, execution and evaluation of business development initiatives to seize new business opportunities and expand customer base locally and across the Greater Bay area
  • Lead both internal collaboration initiatives (incl. cross line of businesses and within PB) as well as dealing with external parties to ensure achievement of desired business outcomes
  • Locate and build external partnership(s) that achieve business outcomes
  • Collate frontline and client feedbacks on initiatives and plans to continuously refine and execute business development initiatives
  • Be responsible in E2E client event management: from pre-event communications / front-line preparation, to on-the-day execution, to conducting comprehensive review that yields optimal client and staff experience, ensuring commercialization of such, and finding rooms for further improvement
  • Stay up-to-date with bank-wide initiatives and translate into actionable talking points to frontlines, enhancing overall business potential
Requirements
  • University degree in Business Administration, Marketing OR other relevant qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years' banking experience and familiar with customer acquisition/ business development. Private Banking exposure will be an advantage
  • Proven track record in engaging cross-functional teams and external stakeholders in achieving meaningful business outcomes
  • Sound problem-solving skills and with great sense of ownership, proactiveness and business-oriented mindset
  • Strong organization skill with ability to work under pressure and multitask; must be a strong team player and be able to work collaboratively within a team
  • High sensitivity to evolving market dynamics in the HNWI segment locally, and across the Greater Bay area
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese
  • Professional qualifications such as Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) and/or Certified Banker (CB) under Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) would be an advantage.
