We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Cost Management Analyst - GTPM HUB-HK-GZC.

Principal responsibilities

  • Develop new datasets which link customer demographics to operational costs and revenues to support customer-centric business decisioning regarding cost reduction initiatives.
  • Support development of Total Cost of Ownership models which allow management to make fact-based business decisions with full visibility of the impact on customers and revenue.
  • Involve frequent liaison with a large range of stakeholders including:
  • Key leadership roles across Cost Management.
  • Product owners in Retail Banking.
  • Other Analytics teams in Retail Banking and Global Operations.
  • Work collaboratively as a team of data experts to ensure that the teams objectives are met
  • Provide the leadership team with data that gives confidence in the delivery of quality and service in line with Cost Management commitments and obligations.
  • Identifies opportunities to continuously improve and optimize the capabilities of the Cost Management program by extensively reviewing and improving existing processes.
  • Review of analysis, MI and reporting. Drawing out key themes, trends or risks that could both positively or negatively affect the achievement of HSBC's organizational objectives
  • Leads and manages initiatives to embed and maintain a culture where good data management and quality practices prevail.
  • Ensure data practices comply with regulations of all locations.
  • Ensure good practices in the management of data tools, standards, frameworks and templates.
  • Track adherence to policies, frameworks and tooling associated to Data Governance and Data Quality.
  • Govern relationships between data elements across different systems.
要求
  • 7+ years of hands-on analytics experience solving complex business problems using data and the communication of such to business and senior stakeholders is desirable.
  • Prior experience in identifying and creating a framework for continuous technical learning.
  • Prior Cost Management experience related with a financial institution or at a regulatory agency or major consulting firm is desirable.
  • A good understanding and experience of the Global Businesses and Global Functions within a Bank.
  • Prior experience of working across 1 or more Risk Domains is desirable (providing support and guidance to business functions).
  • Ability to accurately determine customer needs & offer appropriate support.
  • Experienced in preparing and interpreting Management Information (MI) reports.
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail combined with a strong delivery focus and ability to meet timeframes while producing quality results.
  • Project Management – ability to develop and deliver a plan to deliver project outcomes on time, with limited supervision.
  • Demonstrates up to date industry knowledge of analytics best practices, tools and trends.

Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
