In this role, you will:
We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Digital Product Manager (AI/GenAI) to drive the design, planning, and delivery of next-generation AI infrastructure and applications in a leading banking environment.
Reporting to Head of GBA & Regulatory Engagement in HBCN, you will collaborate closely with AI engineering, data science, IT operations, and business innovation teams to define and evolve a robust, scalable AI product ecosystem that supports both foundational models and intelligent business applications.
Overall Accountabilities
· Lead end-to-end product lifecycle for one or more AI-related products: AI infrastructure, heterogeneous compute optimization, AI middleware, or AI Agent platforms.
· Translate business and technical needs into scalable, secure, and compliant AI product solutions aligned with banking regulatory requirements.
· Own product strategy, roadmap, and delivery timelines across internal stakeholders and external vendors.
· Ensure technical feasibility and operational reliability of AI product features, particularly in performance-critical banking use cases.
· Act as a thought leader in the integration of large language models (LLMs), AI compute orchestration, and AI-driven automation.
· Proactively engage with customers to gather feedback and drive continuous product improvements to meet evolving customer needs.
What you’ll do:
· Develop product vision and roadmap for AI infrastructure components, such as compute resource management, model training platforms, and AI Ops toolchains.
· Define requirements and oversee the development of AI middleware for model deployment, inference pipelines, and agent orchestration.
· Collaborate with engineering teams on implementing scalable and secure AI agent frameworks tailored to banking scenarios (e.g., smart assistants, task agents).
· Work with data and AI governance teams to ensure compliance with data privacy, cybersecurity, and model auditability requirements.
· Evaluate and manage partnerships with external AI vendors, cloud providers, and LLM providers for joint solution delivery.
· Collect feedback from internal business users and continuously refine the product features to meet evolving needs.
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
Education
• Bachelor’s degree (or above) in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent business qualification is a plus.
Experience
• 8+ years of product management or technology strategy experience, preferably in banking, fintech, or enterprise AI domains.
• Proven track record in managing complex technical products from concept to delivery, with a strong understanding on AI infrastructure or platform products.
• Hands-on experience with one or more of the following: AI compute resource scheduling, AI model lifecycle management, AI Ops, or agent frameworks.
• Experience in working with cross-functional teams including engineering, compliance, risk, and business stakeholders.
• Familiarity with regulatory and security considerations in financial services. AI deployment is a strong plus.
Technical Skill
• Solid understanding on large language models and how they are deployed and optimized in production environments.
• Knowledge of AI compute optimization tools and orchestration platforms
• Experience with AI agent development or orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, OpenAgent, AutoGen).
• Understanding of DevOps/MLOps best practices and AI model observability.
Capable to conduct comprehensive pros & cons analysis between on-premises and cloud-based AI infrastructure
Language
• Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese (written and spoken) is required.
Cultural Fit
• Understand Chinese business environment and familiar with cross-location, multiculture collaboration in an international organization.
Preferred Qualification
• Familiarity with Chinese financial regulators (e.g. NFRA, PBoC, CFETS) and their technology-related requirements.
• Proven success in leading large-scale digital transformation projects in the banking sector.
• Strong project management skills, particularly in business project management, with experience overseeing cross-functional initiatives that align technology strategy with business outcomes.
