We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Director, Asset Liability Management Hedging.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Lead ALM hedging Strategy through derivatives & hedging methodology
  • Support group insurance hedging framework
  • Responsible for developing risk hedging strategies to mitigate interest rate, liquidity, equity and credit risks
  • Perform cashflow projection and stress test to better understand liquidity risk of different investment initiatives on the balance sheet
  • Manage projects and coordinate teams in the implementation of ALM initiatives
  • Responsible for ALM risk management information (MI), Key Performance Indicator (KPI), effectiveness of hedging strategy monitoring
  • Oversee the local business hedging framework and implementation of hedging strategy
  • Oversee the ALM model governance required by Group Model Risk policy
Requirements
  • 12+ years of experience in asset and liability management, particularly within the insurance industry
  • Experience in derivatives hedging and investment assets
  • Good understanding of Asia insurance products and liabilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Actuarial Science, or a related field
  • Professional certifications such as IFOA, FSA, CFA, or equivalent are preferred
  • Ability to effectively influence key stakeholders and establish credibility with senior management through constructive challenging
  • Ability to drive projects through providing appropriate project framework, clarity on content and deliverables and effectively engaging and managing stakeholders
  • Strong influencing and communication skills and an ability to work with international and virtual teams
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills; including ability to "think outside the box"
  • Fluent in English
  • Team player
