We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of  Consultant Specialist.

In this role, you will: 

  • Responsible for performing system development work around ETL, which can include both the development of new function and facilities and the on-going systems support of live systems.
  • Responsible for the documentation, coding and maintenance of new and existing Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes within the Enterprise Data Warehouse.
  • Investigate live systems faults, diagnose problems and propose and provide solutions.
  • Work closely with various business teams to design, build, test, deploy and maintain insightful MI reports.
  • Interact with local and global business analysts, project managers, technical architects and developers, detailing the design and driving quality end-to-end solutions.
  • Participate in design workshop, review/ensure the technical design/code structure is technically coherent and future proof and compliance with technology standards and regulatory obligations.
  • Identify any issues that may arise to delivery risk, formulate preventive actions or corrective measures, and timely escalate major project risks & issues to service owner.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:    

  • 10-12 years of experience in Data Warehousing specialized in ETL.
  • Given the current team is highly technical in nature, expectations is that the candidate has hands on knowledge in technologies like Teradata Vantage, DataStage, Unix Scripting and scheduling using Control-M and DevOps tools.
  • Have exposure or worked on GCP’s Data Storage and Processing services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Bigtable, Cloud spanner, Cloud SQL. Secondary skills: Oracle PL/SQL
  • Proven track record in designing, developing and deploying applications
  • Hands-on experience with Unix, Git, Jenkins and Ansible would be added advantage.
  • Proficiency in using JIRA and Confluence.
  • This individual should be able to design robust, secure, scalable, highly available, and dynamic solutions to drive business objectives using both on-prem and google cloud platform (GCP).
  • Build trusting relationships with business stakeholders by accurately documenting decisions, conversations and objections.
  • Provide guidance to developers who are part of project.
  • Conducting migration, where necessary, to bring tools and other elements into the cloud.
