The Emerging Talent Lead – Americas is responsible for executing HSBC’s global emerging talent strategy at the market level, ensuring programmes are adapted to local context while staying aligned to global objectives. This includes oversight of end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, programme delivery for graduates, interns, and other early career pipelines, as well as leading a high-performing in-market team.
The Market Lead is the primary point of contact for all emerging talent activity within the market enterprise wide, working closely with business stakeholders, Talent Partners, local People Leads, and global colleagues. The role focuses on local execution, adaptation, and stakeholder influence, while providing insights upward to shape global strategy.
As our Emerging Talent Lead, Americas you will:
Translate global emerging talent strategy into actionable market-level plans and adapt programmes to reflect local academic calendars, labour laws, regulatory requirements, and cultural considerations
Provide market insights and feedback on challenges, opportunities, and trends to inform global decisions, as well as lead, coach, and develop a team of recruiters and programme advisors
Foster a human-centric, high-performance culture and ensure career development pathways for team members. Build team capability through training, mentorship, and cross-market collaboration
Promote cross-market learning by sharing local insights and best practices with peers
Partner with hiring managers and senior sponsors to define and execute hiring plans
Lead and oversee end-to-end recruitment for graduates, interns, and early career pipelines within the market
Ensure delivery against global standards for candidate attraction, assessment, and selection
Champion candidate experience through a high-touch, data-led approach
Oversee assessment and selection process, ensuring fairness, quality, and alignment to enterprise standards, in addition to oversee lengthy keep warm process and activities, ensuring engagement and belonging, reducing declines and reneges
Monitor recruitment health metrics (conversion rates, reneges, diversity, hiring manager satisfaction) and course correct as needed
For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $134,500.00 and $201,800.00
The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Strong subject matter expertise in emerging talent strategy, recruitment, and development, in addition to a deep understanding of Americas market trends and candidate expectations
Ability to oversee high-volume, high-touch programme delivery at pace, with a focus on experience, equity, and post-programme outcomes
Lead, develop and inspire a high-performing team of emerging talent advisors and delivery professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement
Coach and build leadership capability within the team, creating stretch opportunities and supporting career progression to build long-term bench strength
Comfortable using success metrics, reporting tools, and feedback to assess delivery and improve outcomes, as well as proven ability to use data and feedback to drive continuous improvement, decision-making, and impact measurement
Future-focused, insight-driven mindset with the ability to proactively evolve strategies over time and strong business partnering skills; trusted advisor to senior leaders
Able to navigate matrixed organisations and connect global strategy to local delivery. Strong planning, prioritisation, and governance skills
Works collaboratively globally across teams, and functions. Uses good judgment to make decisions that balance cost, value, and impact
Understands how the work connects to business goals and makes choices that support long-term success and ability to balance consistency with agility, adapting enterprise strategy to local needs without compromising quality or brand
Experience navigating and executing in a global-to-local delivery model, with awareness of local nuances, regulatory environments, and localization strategies
Bilingual Spanish Preferred
