Technology teams in the UK work closely with our global businesses to help design and build digital services that allow our millions of customers around the world, to bank quickly, simply and securely. They also run and manage our IT infrastructure, data centres and core banking systems that power the world’s leading international bank. Our multi-disciplined teams include: DevOps Engineers, IT Architects, Front and Back End Developers, Infrastructure Specialists, Cyber Experts, as well as Project and Programme Managers.
HSBC is the largest bank in Europe and is also one of the largest investment banks in the world, with MSS IT ( Market & Security Services ) providing technology solutions for its Global Banking and Markets business worldwide. As Full Stack Engineer iSeries, you will support development (new & enhancements) features as well as migration(s) within the TREATS ( Treasury Trading System) development team. TREATS is an integrated front / back-office system providing risk management, management information, Dealer support facilities and full operational capabilities including trade confirmation, settlement, and accounting.

In this role you will:
- Analyse requests received and recommend IT solutions to meet the requirements.
- Be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of IT solutions according to established standards and best practices
- Produce system solution documentation to achieve a successful implementation enabling future maintenance and production support across local and regional sites.
- Work with SME’s to successfully deliver projects through participation from requirements gathering through to production rollout and support
- Ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external risk and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Solid development experience in IBM iSeries RPG.
- Experience with tools used for Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI / CD) such as Jenkins, Ansible Tower.
- IT experience in a software development environment preferably working on large scale and complex global projects in an Agile environment
- Experience of leveraging source control management systems such as RTC.
- Experience of working in front-office environment in an investment bank.
This role is based in Sheffield .
