In this role, you will: 
    • Drive value: Lead sourcing projects across a broad IT portfolio including software (SaaS and on-prem), cloud, hardware, services, and consultancy. 
    • Be commercially sharp: Scope, negotiate, and close complex, high-value technology deals, managing risks and leveraging market insights.
    • Engage stakeholders: Build strong relationships with business units, challenge demand, and ensure alignment on category strategy and sourcing decisions.
    • Stay agile: Pivot quickly across sub-categories, adapt to change, and manage multiple priorities in a global, matrixed environment.
    • Champion data-driven planning: Maintain accurate pipeline, savings, and risk reporting across your category portfolio.

The role will likely work across a variety of categories so will need to demonstrate a broad range of category knowledge and be able to work dynamically and flexibly with a broad range of SMEs.
Work will be with a variety of stakeholders and business partners requiring proactive engagement and fostering of existing and new relationships.


What you’ll do
    • Understand complex business problems, apply advanced analytical thinking / market knowledge and drive the most appropriate business outcome.
    • Execute of strategies and plans to achieve or exceed agreed savings targets for the category. Lead on the negotiation of the agreements, challenging business demand and managing the keys risks associated
    • Execute sourcing projects managing each part of the procurement cycle in accordance with Procurement and business governance.
    • Maintain a pipeline of contract renewals, working with business stakeholders to proactively manage the demand and deliver value. Execute of strategies and plans to achieve or exceed agreed savings targets for the category.
    • Ensure alignment with all key stakeholders within Procurement and the businesses/ functions on category decisions.
    • Ensure category and project data (savings, pipeline, milestones, risks, issues, taxonomy) is accurate and reflective of reality.
    • Influence the businesses and drive the application of a variety of commercial models to drive the most appropriate business outcomes.
    • Work with Heads of Procurement, their teams and Procurement Operations (Resource Management) to manage dynamic resourcing within the category to deliver sourcing projects.

What you need to have to succeed in this role
    • Strong IT procurement experience with large scale procurement projects in a multi-faceted and global organisation.
    • Demonstrated strong commercial, negotiation and influencing skills.
    • Ability to lead complex projects globally, including change management.
    • Category and stakeholder management experience in a complex environment.
    • Supplier management across global categories.
    • Experience in leading negotiations and managing large value procurement.
    • Having worked within complex, multi layered organisations and worked to the pace and drive required. 
    • Hybrid Type of working 2 days per week in the office.
