Cybersecurity is responsible for enabling businesses and functions to manage their information security risks as well as ensuring risk and controls are assessed and implemented appropriately, objectively and independently through professional and specialized subject matter experts.
The Cybersecurity Education and Awareness team has specific responsibility for delivering Training, Awareness and Communications to the wider HSBC Organisation to ensure continued development of a positive Cybersecurity Culture to address Human Cyber Risk and to provide transparency on HSBC Cybersecurity’s strategy and capabilities.
We are looking for a UX/UI Designer to join our team focused on cybersecurity to create a better experience for our global network of employees. If you are someone who obsesses over user-centric design, conducting user research and prototyping, we would be excited to hear from you. That is of course if you are also fun to work with and get along well with a great group of people.
What you’ll do
• Create wireframes, UX/UI designs/mock-ups, and interactive prototypes.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and inform design decisions.• Work in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD and In Vision.• Provide constructive feedback and innovative ideas within your team and relevant stakeholders.• Collaborate with various teams for user journey maps, personas mapping, and usability testing.• Partner with product and development teams to launch solutions that balance business, user, and technical priorities.• Present your designs with expertise and rationale while advocating for end users.• Work on multiple projects with various levels of UX engagement, timelines, and expectations.• Identify opportunities for design and process improvements and drive their implementation.• Educate others on the benefits of UX and advocate for user-cantered design principles.
What you need to have to succeed in this role
Important: Candidates’ portfolio is a crucial part of the application process.
• Bachelor’s degree in a UX/UI, graphic design, or related field.• Proven experience as a UX/UI designer for 10 or more years.• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of UX/UI design projects and demonstrating user-cantered design solutions.• Experience with Confluence and SharePoint is required.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and/or React is a plus.• Excellent verbal communication skills.• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
