Wholesale Technology Digital is a major Service Line reporting into Wholesale Technology but servicing the Commercial Bank. Digital (sometimes called Wholesale Technology IT) is the electronic front door for HSBC’s commercial customers, and the Digital team is responsible for developing, building, and improving on the digital banking platforms that our customers use. Large commercial and global banking customers use HSBCnet and Connect to transact, while small to medium-sized commercial customers use Digital Banking platforms (DBB) and emerging solutions such as Kinetic and Quantum.
Wholesale Technology provides technology solutions to support HSBC’s four global businesses: Commercial Banking, Global Banking and Markets, Global Private Banking, and Retail Banking and Wealth Management. Wholesale Technology is part of Digital Business Services (previously called HOST). Wholesale Technology Digital faces off to Commercial Banking.
What you’ll do
- Requirement analysis: Analyse the requirements, User experience designs.
- Design: Develop / review the technical design.
- Coding: Analyse and develop code as per specifications.
- Reviews: Conduct review of design/code/test plan and test results.
- Support: Provide post development support.
- Participate in Feasibility Studies and Requirement analysis.
- Take complete ownership of assigned tasks, be accountable and committed.
- Create test strategies, prepare automation tests.
What you need to have to succeed in this role
- Be passionate about technology and demonstrate their aptitude for exploring, learning and building technology.
- Ability to work well in a team and be an excellent communicator.
- Be interested in solving problems and flexible and adaptable in doing so.
- Pragmatic approach to programming and solution delivery.
- Relevant solid working experience in Spring Boot, MULE, Mongo, Oracle, Git, REST, SOAP, Java 17+, Kubernetes, Jenkins, JavaScript, GCP.
- Must have hands on experience into end-to-end impact analysis, creating high and low level design.
- Good knowledge on SDLC, Agile and DevOps operating model.
- Experience in TDD is a must, BDD is a plus.
- Practical experience in continuous integration, continuous delivery and continuous testing.
