Our UK Customer, Propositions & Marketing team supports the growth of HSBC in the UK by delivering outstanding creative and media campaigns that drives business growth and exceeds business targets. As Head of Advertising and Marketing Communications, you’ll lead your team in the execution of both media purchasing and creative development across the full marketing funnel for all of HSBC UK’s brands and, create campaigns that the outside world will see and remember.

In this role, you will:

·         Lead the UK Advertising and Marketing Comms team, responding to business briefs and establishing clear objectives for each campaign, whilst ensuring delivery is on time and on budget.

·         Work in partnership with the UK Marketing Leadership team to execute distinctive strategies that give HSBC UK’s brands a competitive advantage.

·         Develop and implement an approach which measures media efficiency and effectiveness, channel utilisation, buyer behaviour, campaign effectiveness / efficiency and channel development.

·         Engage with stakeholders locally to identify themes/emerging issues that will enable you to challenge the status quo and present new and innovative solutions that are defined by insights, marketing knowledge and internal benchmarks.

·         Represent UK Marketing internally and externally with clients and other third parties and oversee agency relationships.

Requirements

For this role, we’re looking for:

·         A proven track record in brand, advertising and marketing comms across multiple categories and channels (such as social media, digital and out-of-home etc.)  for a large corporation.

·         A highly brand-literate creator and innovator with a track record of constantly looking for ways to do things better and an excellent understanding of change.

·         Extensive experience of managing digital and performance marketing with a deep understanding of social media.

·         A flexible and adaptable management style with experience of developing yourself and others, complemented with the ability to build effective networks and relationships across business areas based on mutual trust.

·         Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring that complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences.
