We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Head of RCR Analytics (MX).
Reporting into the Chief Risk Officer, WPB Risk MX, this role requires a specific set of skills and experience that combines the knowledge of statistical and data driven solutions, regulatory requirements and business knowledge of all Retail products in MX.
This is a senior role within the risk function and very often the tasks extend beyond the analytics area. As Head of Analytics, you will be accountable for:
· Leading the development and utilisation of analytics, primarily technical and regulatory modelling, for the HSBC ~USD$15.5bn Wealth and Personal Banking business.
· Be accountable for ensuring that the regional risk analytics strategy meets both business requirements and regulatory expectations, global and regional strategic goals, and stakeholder expectation, in line with the governance and standards expected in the Group Model Risk and Data Policies.
· Build, mentor, and manage a large high-performing MX and offshore analytics team, fostering a culture of excellence, inclusion, continuous improvement and innovation.
· Lead major projects or programmes with significant business or regulatory impact within department, area, and business unit.
· Direct interaction with the senior management of the bank and the Heads of Risk / Finance / Product across the region and globally
· Frequent interaction and relationship management with the regulators, external auditors and external suppliers.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
· In depth knowledge and experience of all major retail product suites in WPB, specifically credit products – Mortgages, Credit Cards, Personal Loans and Overdrafts.
· In depth knowledge and experience of building statistical tools and application of analytic methodologies for a WPB businesses.
· In depth knowledge and experience of financial performance indicators, Basel and IFRS9 regulation
· A great depth of understanding of the banking process from planning to acquisition to maintenance and finally collections or attrition process.
· A thorough understanding of risk and the drivers of capital and impairment in the business
· Proven track record of excellence in leadership of significant and remote analytic functions
