We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Infrastructure Finance Analyst.

Principal Responsibilities

In this role you will

Support in the origination and execution of Infrastructure Finance (IF) transactions. Key tasks include:

  • Preparing pitch books, financial models, internal credit papers and Information Memorandums across a range of transactions and financing products
  • Reviewing third party and preparing detailed and flexible, best practice, financial models for mining & metals financing transactions utilising a range of products (term loans, revolving credit facilities, bonds, convertibles, hedging instruments etc)
  • Reviewing and summarising due diligence (Commercial, Technical, Environmental, Insurance etc.) for internal credit submissions
  • Supporting the end-to-end financing process for export finance, project finance, corporate finance and trade finance transactions
  • Supporting the work on documentation for loans
  • Running proprietary tools such as slotting, ORC, etc. to come up with relevant outputs for management
  • Maintaining mining & metals sector specific data across commodities, for internal and external presentations
Requirements

To be successful you will need

  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with a proficiency in financial modelling including operational model, accounting, debt facilities, credit metrics and valuation analysis
  • Have an understanding of core credit analysis including financial covenants, rating agency methodologies and credit metrics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and market data services (e.g. Bloomberg, FactSet, Factiva, Datastream, etc.)
  • A strong work ethic underpinned by genuine interest and passion for the mining, metals and transition materials sector, organisational and project management skills with ability to multitask, schedule time effectively and digest and convey complex information in an understandable and succinct manner
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and ability to produce timely and accurate outputs. Collaborative and personable working style, with ability to influence, negotiate with internal and external stakeholders as well as mentor and assist junior staff
  • Working experiences in debt advisory, structured finance, project finance and/or other lending products
