We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Manager, Actuarial Services. 

Principal Responsibilities

In this role you will

  • Part of the Par & Universal Life Fund Management and Experience Studies team
  • Responsible for supporting experience monitoring, assumption setting, and annual Par bonus recommendation and implementations
  • Supporting the monthly and quarterly delivery of management information for internal stakeholders
  • Supporting in ad-hoc actuarial projects and enhancement project of existing processes
  • Working with internal and external stakeholders to deliver the assigned tasks
  • Maintain documentation as per HSBC guidelines
Requirements

To be successful you will need

  • University graduate in a relevant discipline in Actuarial Studies, with good progress in actuarial exams of an international recognized actuarial body
  • Relevant Actuarial experience, candidate with less experience will be considered for Associate position
  • Good communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Ability to work independently, interact with other departments
  • Good technical, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills and positive attitude
  • Experience in SQL/Python and/or Prophet is a plus
