We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Market Business Manager.

Principal Responsibilities

In this role you will

Strategic Market Management

  • Be a part of the cluster Market Business Manager (MBM) support for International, Middle East and Global India markets and Market Heads in enforcement of Business Strategy, including but not limited to New Business Expansion, Marketing, Sales Campaign, Prospect Management, Pricing Reviews, Financials, Budgeting etc. These are usually in the form but not limited to deck preparation, content review and follow through on outstanding actions
  • Prepare and analyses regulatory reports/financial reports/dashboards/Management Information (MIs) for Country Head, assist in budget allocations and facilitate business review and supports Markets in collaboration with other lines of business or HSBC affiliates for business growth
  • Act as the chief contact point and conduit for respective market and support functions, including but not limited to facilitation of Business Case, Information Dissemination and Escalations. Additionally liaising with other support teams to ensure the business processes are managed in an efficient and controlled manner, escalate and resolve day-to-day issues/queries
  • Need to understands Market challenges and in particular to operational processing, is able to identify, leads and drive end to end process improvement to streamline efficiencies across PB platform
  • Build partnership with Business Change and Implementation and/or Transformation team, will facilitate and support market communications, feedback and also identify appropriate Market representatives for validation of new system and processes

Risk Management and Control

  • Assist Market Head (and Desk Heads) in the management oversight of the marketing platform and frontline staff (Relationship Managers and Client Service Executives) and ensure all policies and procedures are followed and has oversight on all risk issues across market e.g open audit points, outstanding complaints
  • Work closely with CCO, Risk stewards etc to provide guidance to Market on all PB controls e.g CB rules, Investor Protection and suitability and partners closely with MBM and CSE TLs in GPB SG to review all risk metrics, KPI and provide timely updates to Business Heads accordingly 
Requirements

To be successful you will need

  • Self-starter with ability to make balanced and independent decisions and extensive working experience with Private Banking
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to influence and drive business results
  • Good knowledge of Private Bank Industry practices, platform, products, services and controls
  • Proven strategic planning and presentation skills and ability to provide strong financial and statistical analysis to drive decision making
  • Attention to detail and the ability to think creatively to solve problems and excellent interpersonal skills and stakeholder management skills
