In this role you will:
  • Manage the Bank’s benefit programme offerings including benefit performance reviews to ensure that benefits are fit for purpose, aligned to HSBC Group and market practice.
  • Provide oversight, governance and monitor the Bank’s payroll processes ensuring adherence to the HSBC Global Payroll Control Framework and ensuring that the monthly payroll activities are complete and accurate.
  • Monitor local legislative changes that may impact payroll and benefit plans to ensure compliance, draft proposed amendments, obtain approval through governance forums to amendments, and communicate changes to employees and retirees.
  • Manage the relationships for and provide governance of third-party payroll and benefit providers ensuring key performance indicators and service levels are met.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following criteria: 
  • Three to five years’ experience managing controls and governance preferably of payroll and benefits, along with knowledge of local employment and benefit legislation.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills with meticulous attention to detail along with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively interacting with employees, stakeholders, and external partners across diverse cultures.
