The Opportunity:

Operations Transformation Project Managers are at the center of how Global Operations Transformation shapes, delivers and embeds change working with our delivery partners. They are typically responsible for end to end delivery of strategic projects including requirements Management, Design, Change Management and Implementation Management, till benefit realization. Project Managers work collaboratively with delivery partners and subject matter experts in gathering, translating and clarifying requirements and defining design options, manage project implementation till project closure/benefit realization

The job holder will manage different levers of projects as automation projects/workflow and imaging/process optimization/capacity rationalization/vendor management aligning with HSBC strategy & also will be supporting and leading the ongoing transformation projects around different Programmes in MENAT including 9 Countries. This involves working with a very wide range of stakeholders from Transformation Programme Teams/Portfolio Managers/Leads, IT Portfolio Managers/Leads, Finance Team/Leads/ Procurement/Lines of Business and Control functions

What you’ll do:

  • Leading the ongoing transformation projects around different Programmes in MENAT -9 Countries including automation projects/process optimization/capacity rationalization/vendor management aligning with HSBC strategy
  • Review and Identify new projects/opportunities contributing to program targets whether cost reduction/process enhancement/ risk management or customer service enhancement
  • To gather requirements/enhancements from various stakeholders (Transformation Programmes, Finance, Business Management etc.) and manage the prioritization process for these with the Tooling Team Lead and other key stakeholders
  • To plan the transition from the current state to the desired state with relevant costs and resources approved, in the form of a business case
  • Lead the transition from the current state to the desired state with the Tooling Team while mitigating risks to tooling which could potentially disrupt day to day programme operations.
  • Experience of working in an agile and fast paced environment
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years proven track record as an outstanding analyst, consultant and/or project manager
  • Excellent understanding of Global Transformation Business Transformation Frameworks, Agile methodologies and best practice techniques & a thorough understanding of the purpose, values, culture and fundamentals of Global Transformation.
  • Good Business reengineering knowledge, Business analysis, requirements gathering and design techniques.
  • Change management and implementation management techniques and approaches
  • Understanding of IT Systems Architecture development/implementation experience
  • Extensive experience gathering requirements and conducting design activity, with a mix of business, operations and technology focused projects
  • Exposure to business case development and a sound understanding of how design enablers underpin business benefits
  • Strong experience of delivering change into different audiences and managing implementation in banking environments (branch, contact centre, trading floor, operations, head office etc).
  • Experience of managing resources using appropriate communication, delegation and planning skills
  • Ability to motivate and lead people, employing appropriate management styles.
  • Relevant experience in implementing large scale tools and infrastructure at an enterprise level in a financial industry.
  • Experience in developing and implementing EUC tools for a global user base & in conducting technical assessment of EUC tool set.
