We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as a Project Manager.

The Role

As a Project Manager with in IWPB, your role will be to lead the change initiation, design and delivery and are accountable for successful delivery of both Technology and Business Change Programmes and ensuring benefits realisation. You will be comfortable to operate with stakeholders at an executive level and engage and influence a wide spectrum of stakeholders and partners across HSBC. 

Furthermore in this role you will be required to: 

  • Drive / lead programme delivery proactively, balancing scope, schedule, interdependencies, budget and risks
  • Assisting business stakeholders with the decomposition of complex business requirements into Epics and User Stories that can be delivered by Technology teams via respective backlogs with minimum cross product co-ordination
  • Managing / supporting relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Drive / support the use of Agile methodologies within Technology teams (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Lean) in line with corresponding transformation frameworks at the bank
  • Supporting of senior Project / Programme mangers across all stages of the initiative lifecycle to deliver larger / more complex / high priority Programmes & Projects
  • Lead / support definition of staffing / resourcing, responsibilities and schedules
  • Lead / support the establishment of effective programme controls and procedures
  • Drive  / support the adoption of HSBC standards and work in alignment with Change framework at all times.
  • Manage / support the development and promotion of the technology portfolio and project management practices  
  • Effective & comprehensive project reporting at local forums, and manage Program Artifacts.
  • Set high expectations concerning quality and put in place / work within quality assurance processes
  • Report progress, issues, dependencies and risks to steering committees / initiative leadership and make recommendations to influence decision making in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realisation
Requirements

In order to apply for this role you will have the following:

  • A minimum of 10 years experience in Project/Programme management. 
  • Extensive experience delivering financial projects with in Retail and/or Private Banking is required.
  • Knowledge of Wealth Products (Stocks, Bonds, Structured Products, and FX) and related trade flows and project delivery experience.
  • Good experience in transformation change involving business process and technology. 
  • Experience in delivering end-end Core Banking, Capital Market or Portfolio management products or platforms will be desirable.
  • Experience with running projects with global stakeholders will be added advantage 
  • Sound judgmental skills to identify and resolve problems.
  • Ability to adopt a growth mindset and proactively identify and bring about change opportunities.
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective change process.
  • University graduate in related disciplines , this is essential in order to obtain UAE work permit.
  • Effective communication, inter-personal and negotiating skills are essential.
  • Excellent decision making and problem-solving ability are essential.
