We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of  Senior Software Engineer

In this role, you will:

  • Work closely with the project team and adhere to wider MAP and HSBC quality assurance processes
  • Represent QA during stand-ups, planning sessions, product review and retrospective meetings.
  • Actively engage in discussions around the acceptance criteria and test scenarios.
  • Ensure that high quality standards are always achieved for all our software releases and a high level of automated coverage.
  • Define project level functional and non-functional test approaches.
  • Define, manage, and maintain regression test pack
  • Ensure testing follows an auditable robust process where controls can be evidenced.
  • Provide functional test input into the Automation Framework and ensure test automation is used effectively to minimise test cycle timescales while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Provide regular reports to programme management to demonstrate progress of the test function.
  • Provide test completion certification to move into Release process.
  • Participate in project meetings with business and technical stakeholders to understand and deliver projects.
  • Ensure all testing follows the defined test process and provide input and updates for improvements where needed
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Good experience of test planning, reporting, co-ordination, and execution of all test activities
  • Defect management and remediation activities including leading triage sessions for project specific bugs
  • Good stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Positive team player working as part of a large programme
  • Performing functional, exploratory, user acceptance testing.
  • Ability to define clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Demonstrate empathy, common sense, and pragmatism. Be able to relate and influence both business and technology people but above all be innovative
  • Good understanding of IAM products and controls capabilities and requirements.
  • Positive team player who can add value throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity of working in regulated environments, ideally within the financial sector
  • Good working knowledge of CI/CD best practices for automating testing.
  • Previous SailPoint migration experience.
  • Experience of working with global teams.
  • Experience of using Jira and Zephyr test tooling
