We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Relationship Manager.

Principal Responsibilities

This role will maintain and grow profitable long-term relationships with allocated clients within Taiwan market. The main responsibility of this role is to provide relationship support to senior staff for key clients, grow revenues across allocated portfolio, successfully manage and serve existing business relationships and originate new revenue streams. The role holder will have client-facing responsibilities.

In this role you will:

  • Maintain 'Trusted Advisor' relationship and access at key decision maker level for assigned clients
  • Work to continue to reposition the firm to higher value added solicitation, enhancing the perception of the Bank amongst its existing and prospective clients
  • Co-ordinate origination and execution of activities across the spectrum of HSBC products/service
  • Establish and maintain networks for co-operation with other HSBC businesses, to support the creation of solutions to customer needs that span geographical/product boundaries and regulatory environments
  • Identify event driven opportunities on an opportunistic basis, bringing in sector/country expertise as appropriate
  • Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved
  • Grow revenues across allocated portfolio, successfully manage and serve existing business relationships and originate new revenue streams
  • Manage junior coverage staff to support and deliver client performance against plan
Requirements

To be successful you will need:

  • Solid relationship management experience, ideally in private banking, commercial banking or investment banking sectors
  • Proven track record in client acquisition, asset gathering, asset growth and revenue generation
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Attention to detail and the ability to think creatively and solve problems
  • Excellent understanding of financial markets and wealth management products
  • Strong focus on client servicing
  • Speaks fluent English and Cantonese. Mandarin skills may be beneficial but not necessary
