We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Actuarial Analyst.

Principal Responsibilities

In this role you will: 

Financial Reporting & Reserving

  • Perform actuarial valuations and reserve calculations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS 17, and the Bermuda regulatory framework
  • Assist in preparing financial reports, including quarterly and annual reserving reports, financial statement disclosures, and regulatory submissions
  • Develop and maintain actuarial models to project liabilities, cash flows, and financial impacts under IFRS 17
  • Collaborate with finance teams to align actuarial results with accounting and financial reporting requirements

 Risk Management & Business Support

  • Provide actuarial support for risk assessment, stress testing, and sensitivity analysis to aid decision-making
  • Assist in experience analysis, assumption setting, and monitoring of key actuarial metrics
  • Support reinsurance analysis and its impact on financial statements under IFRS 17
  • Contribute to business planning, forecasting, and strategic decision-making by providing actuarial insights.
  • Provide support to ongoing projects related to the risk and control framework
Requirements

To be successful you will:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field
  • Progress toward actuarial qualification (e.g., FIA, FSA, FCAS, or equivalent) with significant exam progress
  • Experience with actuarial modelling software (e.g., Prophet, Moses, RAFM, or similar)
  • Proficiency in Excel, VBA, SQL, Python, or R for data analysis and automation
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Hands-on experience with IFRS 17 implementation in an insurance company or consultancy
  • Knowledge of discounting techniques, risk adjustment calculations, and cash flow modelling under IFRS 17
  • Familiarity with financial reporting tools and automation techniques
  • Actuarial experience, preferably in financial reporting, IFRS 17, or insurance-related roles
  • Strong understanding of IFRS 17, regulatory frameworks, and insurance financial reporting principles
