Internal Audit (IAD)
Global Internal Audit provides independent, objective assurance to management and the risk and audit committees as to whether the framework of risk management, control, and governance processes, as designed and represented by management, is adequate and functioning. This team with skilled business, process, data, change, and culture analysts helps HSBC to achieve its strategic purpose, safely and sustainably.
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.
In this role, you will:
• Lead audits related to Regulatory Compliance, Financial Crime, Conduct and Legal topics; and be responsible for the execution of all stages in the audit lifecycle.
• Independently and objectively identify and assess risks; evaluate adherence to controls and compliance with established policies, procedures and regulations; and make recommendations for improvement.
• Engage with and provide advice to both internal and external stakeholders by utilising the subject matter expertise.
• Contribute to continuous monitoring through regular interactions with senior stakeholders, participation in business governance forums, ongoing analysis of businesses' risk profiles, and keeping up-to-date regulatory and industry development.
• Foster an open and collaborative working culture within the team. Act as a role model to mentor junior team members.
• Adopt data analytics and other new audit tools and techniques to improve audit efficiency and effectiveness.
• Contribute to the wider development of Global Internal Audit through collaborating with other audit teams and supporting the Function's goals.
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
• Extensive internal audit experience in Financial Services, with expertise and knowledge in Regulatory Compliance, Financial Crime, Conduct and Legal matters preferred
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, and ability to build constructive and effective relationships
• Understanding of major regulatory framework in the region, knowledge of HKMA regulations, and previous experience interacting with regulators is an advantage
• Strong managerial, analytical, problem-solving, and communications skills
• Excellent at managing multiple competing priorities and proven record of consistent delivery of high quality work
• Experiences with data analytics is a plus
