Role Purpose

This critical role will act as the GPS ambassador promoting awareness/knowledge of Chinese corporations and supporting the China outbound business strategy.

 

Job Description:

·       Maintain and grow Chinese corporate portfolio with the aim of achieving maximum return to the bank

·       Drive the acquisition-first strategy for new client relationships while working closely with the coverage team and with HSBC teams in home market of China

·       Ensure high standard of customer service supporting client enquiries through intensive liaison with HSBC teams locally and globally

·       Act as on-the-ground resources to support global solutioning led by China team

·       Monitor product utilization, identify training needs and through product presentations and demonstrations to ensure customers are well aware of the product capabilities and benefits

·       Maintain close partnership with intra country colleagues / stakeholders to provide input into the strategic direction of Sales, Product and Client Management functions

·       Communicate a clear vision for the GPS business that is aligned to the overall HSBC vision, values and goals, while inspiring colleagues to create an inclusive, high performing, customer cantered culture

·       Keep abreast of external factors influencing international business example economic, cultural, geographical, procedural and regulatory requirements

Requirements

·       Minimum 8 years' banking experience with strong performance history;

·       Adaptability and global mobility - the role requires the jobholder to work abroad;

·       Solid knowledge on payment and cash management product and services, familiar with global GPS products, Chinese clients’ requirement, client management and communication skills etc.

·       Self-motivated with a growth mind-set;

·       Proven ability in identifying and meeting customer needs with timely action plan and coordination with home country and hosting country teams;

·       Good level of business acumen and commercial awareness, including economic, cultural, procedural and regulatory issues;

·       Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
