Global Payment Solutions (GPS) is made up of almost 10,000 colleagues across 58 countries and territories. We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Manager, Chief Control Office, Global Payment Solutions.
Principal Responsibilities
In this role you will
Governance – facilitate risk management discussions at key committees through effective reporting and communication of risk and control trends, issues, emerging risks and initiatives and own NFR specific governance activities
Risk Management SME – key point person for NFR and Risk Management queries, especially as related to GPS products and services
Risk & Control management & awareness – managing the execution of a range of risk & control activities across GPS Owned RCA & increasing risk and control awareness. Support safe business change / growth through active risk management
Facilitate the execution of the 3 Lines of Defence model by ensuring audits are planned, executed and reporting effectively, working across functions where appropriate. Ensure implementation of audit recommendations and maintain satisfactory level of audits
Read Across issues across the region to proactively mitigate risk based on control weaknesses or incidents in other sites
Escalate issues and incidents in line with GPS escalation criteria, tracking incidents to closure and proactively working with GPS functional partners to identify and remediate root causes
Working with GPS ASP teams globally, regionally and locally to proactively raise risk and control issues through Management Self-Identified Issues, and track through to closure
Support in the deployment of Group, Regional & ASP risk-related programmes and projects (e.g. Conduct Programme, Proximity Review, Enterprise-Wide Risk Assessment etc.). Challenge procedures, practices and standards to ensure quality, effective risk management and regulatory compliance
To be successful you will need
Previous experience within Risk Management or understanding of the group’s risk and control framework is essential. Risk & Control subject matter expertise
Strong focus on the commercial aspect of risk management to make sure that proposals are effective and sustainable
Communication skills to frame and present complex issues to senior executives/committees working within a matrix organisation
Prior controls/risk management experience is desirable
Relationship management, collaboration and influencing skills with experience of positive, challenging interactions with senior executives across multiple functions
