The Senior Manager Financial Crime (FC) International Wealth and Premier Banking (IWPB) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Australia is a key risk management role that has a broad remit and responsibilities for providing senior level advice and guidance on all aspects of Financial Crime Risk for the IWPB business in Australia.
Responsibilities:
• Advising on Financial Crime Risk-related issues and events and the actions needed to address and remediate.
• Advising on the impact and implementation of relevant regulatory changes.
• Advising on the Financial Crime Risks associated with IWPB products, services, business initiatives and customers.
• Advice and support with respect to internal, external and regulatory reviews and audits relating to Financial Crime Risk.
• Risk stewardship with respect to Financial Crime Risk controls, issues, actions and events.
• Working with the Senior AML Manager, the role requires strong partnership with key stakeholders within the IWPB business.
Requirements:
• Seasoned professional with experience in one or more senior risk compliance roles, to include significant AML experience.
• Excellent understanding of AML/CTF regulations with strong understanding of Sanctions, AB&C, Fraud and Tax Transparency.
• Awareness of key Australian regulatory change initiatives and their impacts on the businesses.
• Understanding of international payment and banking structures an advantage.
• Extensive experience in the financial services industry.
• Lateral thinker with an ability to interpret and solve complex issues. Excellent business judgement and a willingness to exercise it.
• Ability to support decisions with sound reasoning. Ability to clearly articulate business and regulatory implications of analysis and findings.
• Experience of interpreting and analysing a large volume of information and/or data and provide succinct summary for management.
• Proven/excellent leadership skills/ability to matrix manage.
Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.
