We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Manager, Product Development and Management.
Principal Responsibilities
The Wealth & Premier Solution Product Development and Management Team manages the product governance & lifecycle framework to enrich the investment product proposition offered across client continuum from private wealth to retail wealth. The full investment product suite includes Fixed Income, Equity, Foreign Exchange, Structured Product, Mutual Funds, Discretionary Programs, Alternative Investment, Insurance Products and Ultra-High Networth Solutions.
In this role you will
- Focus on Mutual Funds and Discretionary Programs, responsible for driving the end-to-end product development and lifecycle management, which include new product approval, post-implementation review, ongoing product review and product withdrawal
- Collaborate closely with product teams & control functions in the product development journey from idea generation, demand assessment, client eligibility, product & client documentation, system readiness, trade execution and downstream processing
- Work with the global product governance team and global product teams to support the implementation of group initiatives related to new product development, governance and control
- Prepare, coordinate and support the monthly product governance meeting which covers new product approval and existing product review
- Participate in compliance and regulatory projects to ensure the relevant requirements are fulfilled
- Maintain HSBC internal control standards across all products, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by internal control functions or external
To be successful you will need
- Degree holder in finance or related subject and experienced in private banking, investment banking, asset management or retail banking
- Solid knowledge in investment products & services and abreast of the latest market development, industry practice & regulatory requirement
- Collaborative nature, able to build effective relationships with multiple stakeholders and peers internally across multiple functions and business lines and effectively influence to achieve result
- Highly organised with attention to details and able to manage multiple tasks independently & simultaneously
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic mindset, with a proven rapid learning capacity
- Strong sense of compliance and risk culture, with knowledge & mindset in operational risks, internal controls and non-financial risks
