HSBC Market & Securities Services (MSS) provides comprehensive global, regional and domestic fund services including fund administration, global custody and sub-custody settlement and services. Securities Lending Operations is a dynamic department that works with partners across the HSBC Global Banking and Markets business to deliver Securities Lending solutions to clients.

We are currently seeking a high calibre individual to join the team in the role of Senior Quantitative Analyst

The primary purpose of this role will involve development and integration of the underlying mathematical models and analytical tools in relation to FX (Foreign Exchange).

In this role, you will:  

•    Build and maintain models that are used by the FX business whilst leading re-architecture projects across quant libraries
•    Carry out design, programming, coding and document pricing models developed to HSBC standards
•    Develop technical solutions for the desk as required and drive alignment across all asset classes
•    Lead improvements of the quality of the code and of the testing environment
•    Analyse and interpret any issues and provide rapid fixes to any issues identified in the models

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements: 

•    Degree qualified with a proven background as a Quantitative Analyst is essential
•    Demonstrable experience of leading quant libraries, knowledge of pricing models and solid experience of using C++  is paramount
•    Knowledge of FX (Foreign Exchange) products is highly preferential although knowledge of rates will be also be considered favourably.
•    Confident in your approach to managing stakeholders with solid communication and influencing skills, you should be able to explain complex data in a simple manner 
•    Comfortable working within a fast-paced environment, can work autonomously with little direction and possess the ability to analyse and interpret issues

The base location for this role is London
