We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Vice President, Business Transformation. 

Principal Responsibilities

In this role you will

Drive the transformation in processes and systems of the Real Assets Asian business of HSBC AM and project manage the migration of Alternative Operation global activities to offshore across asset classes (offshoring support). The role holder will cover the implementation of a new strategic platform and integration of Data solution to cover Real Assets and Group requirements.

For offshoring support, the role includes the coordination of migration of activities between onshore Alt Operation teams and offshore teams

The role holder primarily provides Project Management skills but with the flexibility to conduct business analysis, and to support testing within the Alternative Asset Management activities.  Roles could be varied from traditional waterfall project management to acting as a scrum master in Agile projects, but roles will always leverage Project Management skills to some extent. 

• Deliver the project in line with Group’s Business Transformation Framework (BTF) and control methods
• Establish project structure and governance and agree delivery methodology
• Establish and run an effective Steering Committee, which makes focused decisions, based upon accurate and timely status, performance reports, using the committee as the first point of escalation
• Produce a well-defined project plan, identifying the key milestones and assigning responsibilities/resources
• Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, taking ownership of critical issues and ensuring resolution and/or mitigation strategies
• Track project costs and benefits through key checkpoints escalating to the Alternative Global Target Operating Model Steering Committee (Alt GTOM)

To be successful you will need

• A good understanding of the asset management business, specifically Operations and Front Office, with a focus on Real Asset markets (Real Estate equity and/or Infrastructure equity).
• Experience in deploying software solutions in the Real Asset Asset Management industry, ideally covering Front Office and Operations. Experience in Real Asset Management asset and fund modelling is a nice to have.
• Program/Project management soft (empathy, collaboration, influence, and leadership) and hard skills (analysis, scope and stakeholder management, planning, tracking)
• Experience of Valuation and Asset modelling, and property or asset level data points highly beneficial
• High quality written and presentation skills.
• Ability to work across time zones globally
