We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Specialist Engineering.

Principal Responsibilities

In this role you will

• Provide extensive experience in designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing of significant applications, with a strong emphasis on digital wallet, multiple currency card, foreign exchange and payments in cutting-edge technology and considerable experience in leadership
• Continuously contribute to code and review other's code for best practice, ensuring compliance with all relevant controls and standards including relevant Service Management Standard
• Write and own standards, define product change strategies and to reach identified visions
• Provide Subject Matter Expertise in an area such as: devOps, security, accessibility, agile, production governance
• Establish a digital environment and automate processes to minimize variation and ensure predictable high-quality code and data
• Own delivery of a product (from requirement to production).
• Break down a programme of work into manageable deliveries and step into the Production Support Management (PSM) role
• Stay updated with emerging trends in digital payment ecosystems
• Remove impediments to team's productivity and direct collaboration with Product Owners without the involvement of intermediary roles such as architects, technical leads, business analysts, scrum master and project managers
• Develop business cases benefits of addressing technical debt / platform improvement
• Create and contribute to solutions designs and make judgement calls about adoption of tech debt
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance digital wallet / product features and acting as liaison between engineering teams and senior management, translating technical details into business strategies
• Promote continuous improvement for self and team
• Build trusted and strong relationships with the business and maintain a good appreciation of the business domain they work in
• Ensure service resilience, service sustainability and recovery time objectives are met for all the software solutions delivered
• Provide value during production incidents even for things that they have not necessarily been involved in coding and Chair retros across different teams

To be successful you will

• Experience with feature toggle management and force upgrade implementations
• Proficiency in using cybersecurity tools like Cyberflow or MAST for vulnerability assessment and mitigation
• Familiarity with app store submission processes and compliance requirements for platforms like Google Play, Apple App Store, Tencent, Huawei etc.
• Proven experience in coordinating and managing mobile app releases and ability to assess risks associated with mobile app features and releases
• Strong skills in using project management tools such as Jira for tracking and reporting
• Experience in stakeholder management and conducting regular communication updates
• Experience in identifying and mitigating risks to ensure smooth and secure app releases
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams and chairing weekly update calls
• Understanding of annual audit and regulatory review processes, including compliance with standards set by monetary authorities and central banks
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, collaborating with markets and Value Streams
• Familiarity with market regulations
• Demonstrated ability to assess Technology / Mobile Payment trends at market level
• Willing to learn/explore new technologies especially in mobile payments domain
