We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Technical Specialist.
Principal Responsibilities
In this role you will
Act as the recognized firewall technical expert (Check Point, Fortinet and others) and apply technical knowledge of network security solutions to meet business requirements and resolve identified technical constraints
Accountable design authority for technology decisions and stay abreast of technology trends and advise Technology and the Business about potential benefits/impacts
Provide a network security consultancy role to Technology and Business teams where appropriate. Define configuration standards and provide technical solutions to Operations teams to resolve technical issues
Work and implementation on various complex projects, as a Technical Subject Matter Expert. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure technical deliverables are met
Proficient hands-on experience networking background (Subnetting, Switching, Routing, VLANs, VRFs, NAT, VXLAN, EVPN…etc).
Proficient in setting up and manage the modern configuration management, infrastructure as code tools, CI/CD tools (e.g. Ansible, Jenkins, Git, GitHub...etc.)
Manage vendors across the project delivery and technical matters
Participate in an on-call rotation for support of systems outside of normal business hours. Provide 2nd line network support for major incidents. To lead problem resolution and coordination activities
To be successful you will need
Degree qualifications in Computer Science, Information Engineering or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience
Must be Technical Subject Matter Expert in Firewall Infrastructure (Check Point and Fortinet) including multi-domain management, Logging servers, virtualization, Maestro, automation. Top Tier IT Certifications (e.g. Check Point CCSE, Cisco CCIE) is a plus
Hands on experience as a data network and security specialist in a large enterprise network
Technical knowledge in networking (Cisco and non-Cisco) with an emphasis on software-defined networks (SDN) and leveraging spine & leaf designs
Proficient hands-on experience networking background (Subnetting, Switching, Routing, VLANs, VRFs, Firewalls, VPN etc.)
Proficient in setting up and manage the modern configuration management, infrastructure as code tools, CI/CD tools (e.g. Ansible, Jenkins, Git, GitHub etc.)
Sound knowledge data centre operations, systems infrastructure and architecture design. Sound analytical, problem-solving skills and strong work ethics
Proficient English written and verbal communication skills
