The role of VP – Platform Services is responsible for executing the strategic vision for digital wealth management across all client segments. The role manages the end-to-end client journey design, platform ecosystem management, customer experience, commercialization of wealth platform capabilities and stakeholder management. The role will ensure alignment with global wealth strategy and future-proofing the wealth platform ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Wealth Client Journeys
- Manage the roadmap for end-to-end digital wealth journeys across onboarding, goal planning, investment execution, advisory and reporting
- Ensure client-centric and seamless experiences across mobile, web, and RM-assisted channels
- Benchmark journeys against digital leaders (fintech, global banks, AMCs) and set industry-leading standards
- Deliver on strategic projects to enhance client journeys and ensure best-in-class customer experience
Wealth Platform Services
- Align the strategic direction and lifecycle of the bank’s wealth platforms (investment onboarding and execution engines, advisory tools, reporting platforms) with future state
- Drive technology modernization: cloud adoption, microservices, APIs, open banking integration
- Establish strategic partnerships with AMCs, market intermediaries, and vendors to enrich the platform ecosystem
- Ensure platforms deliver resilience, security and scalability
Regulatory Compliance & Wealth Operations Oversight
- Ensure compliance with extant local regulations and partner with legal and compliance teams to proactively adjust client journeys
- Drive automation and digitization of operational processes to reduce risk and enhance scale
- Provide oversight of MF operations including client onboarding, transaction execution, reconciliations, and client servicing
Governance, Risk & Resilience
- Manage the wealth platform risk, audit, ISR & BCP
- Oversee DR for wealth systems, ensuring readiness for regulatory and client expectations
Market Activation & Platform Commercialization
- Define and execute market activation strategies for wealth platforms and journeys
- Partner with frontline, marketing, and distribution leadership to embed platform usage and client engagement
- Lead commercialization of wealth platforms and drive digital adoption
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the bridge across business, technology, operations, compliance, and risk to deliver cohesive wealth digital and platform solutions
- Manage external stakeholder relationships – AMCs, market intermediaries, vendors - ensuring strategic alignment and joint value creation
- Engage with global, regional, and local stakeholders to secure funding, prioritization, and alignment with the broader wealth strategy
- At least 10-12 years of relevant experience in a Bank of NBFC managing Wealth Insurance
- MBA from a reputed institute preferred, Post Graduate Degree (preferably in Economics, Mathematics, Finance) or professional qualifications like CA is preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrate behaviours consistent with HSBC Values

Additional Information
- Mandatory to successfully complete Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions training and post-course assessment, as required
