Job Advert Details

·       Review and analyse credit and financial reports to determine and assess the risks involved in existing and new lending proposals / relationships in line with HSBC’s lending policies and guidelines.

·       Review / recommend / approve credit applications for wholesale banking clients, under delegated authorities.

·       Oversee limit loading processes and transactional approvals.

·       Oversee and manage the wholesale banking credit risk portfolio including portfolio oversight, deploying dynamic and active risk management to identify and mitigate risks as necessary.

·       Support identification, measurement, monitoring and management of risk during the end to end wholesale credit risk lending process and cycle.

·       Oversee and manage a portfolio of wholesale banking credit proposals within expected risk and return performance criteria / targets, acting as the lead Risk contact point for identified wholesale names, sectors and lines of businesses.

·       Oversee and manage counterparty, sector and portfolio stress test studies, outcomes and actions.

·       Ensure compliance with HSBC and local Regulatory requirements including lending process requirements.

·       Represent Risk appropriately to stakeholders, including Businesses, Customers, Compliance, Regulators and Auditors, with effective communication of risk assessments and approaches.

·       Support HBTR Board and Credit Committee wholesale credit risk processes and requirements.

·       Act as a local Risk lead in local/regional Risk related projects.

·       Be a central point of contact for local Climate and Sustainability risk management, working with local, regional and group WCR Risk and Sustainability & Reputational Risk teams.

·       Represent WCR at local / regional Climate Risk forums as well as at Turkish Banking Association and Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency related forums.

·       Deputise for Head of WCR, as delegated.

·       University Graduate (Business Administration / Economics) 

·       Command of both written and verbal English

·       Command of MS office applications

·       Extensive credit risk knowledge and experience

·       Developed knowledge of financial analysis and modelling

·       Ability to analyze detailed information and form a balanced opinion

·       Ability to simplify and resolve complex matters

·       Close attention to detail, ability to work within tight deadlines and multi-task

·       Strategic thinking and planning

·       Project Management experience

·       Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain healthy effective stakeholders relationships

·       Management and leadership experience

·       10+ years of general corporate / commercial credit / banking experience
