We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Accounting Operational Manager

Role purpose

Lead and manage teams of reconciliation, integration or operational-accounting monitoring processors to ensure that processes are carried out in a timely manner, complying with applicable regulations and global standards. Advise personnel from their own Area or other Areas on operational accounting reconciliation processes. Implement and ensure controls in reconciliation processes to comply with guarantees
Administrative management that involves establishing and implementing clear objectives, conducting personnel performance evaluations, ensuring the level of knowledge and training of personnel, and maintaining an adequate installed capacity of FTE in the processes. Participates in initiatives for change and/or improvement in accounting processes, designing new ways of working or tools that contribute to the optimization and efficiency of processes or regulatory compliance. Organize, coordinate, advise, negotiate attention to projects that require new operational-accounting reconciliation models. Attention to internal and external audits ensuring identified findings are resolved in a timely manner. Proactively participate in the reconciliation automation project having activity configuration skills in existing automatic tools.

Principal accountabilities:

  • Supervise accounting processes ensuring correct and timely elimination of operational or accounting exceptions, making necessary escalations.
  • Advise staff on reconciliation processes and help resolve conflicts in the processes.
  • Implement and maintain the operational risk management and internal control framework in the area in charge, guaranteeing the existence of controls in the process and training for the work team.
  • Plan and maintain an installed capacity of FTEs suitable for carrying out reconciliation processes.
  • Direct the team to comply with efficient processes as well as achieve commitments and objectives.
  • Participate in projects of new processes, process changes or regulatory issues.
  • Evaluate staff performance
  • Make presentations on topics related to the Reconciliation Area
