We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Alternative Investment Specialist.
Principal Responsibilities
In this role you will
- Lead the business development of Hedge Fund advisory business, meeting prospective/ existing clients, and providing internal trainings to Relationship Managers and Investment Counsellors within the Private Bank on hedge fund products and hedge fund strategies
- Construct and advice on customized hedge fund portfolios, ensuring alignment with clients' risk/return profiles while participating in on-going portfolio reviews
- Manage client interactions by providing timely and proactive hedge fund updates and executing orders, ensuring strong communication throughout the advisory journey
- Collaborate with the Hedge Fund advisory teams across booking centres and HSBC Asset Management, coordinating investment strategies and insights to optimize advisory efforts
- Oversee risk management practices within advisory portfolios and actively contribute to oversight committees to ensure compliance and oversight
To be successful you will need
- University degree in a relevant discipline
- Knowledge and experience of hedge fund advisory and portfolio management; experience of private banking preferred
- Strong ability to develop and implement investment strategies, with a deep understanding of hedge funds and risk management practices
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively manage interactions with clients and internal stakeholders across multiple lines of business
- Demonstrated experience working within teams, with a collaborative mindset and proactive approach to coordinating efforts across departments and teams
- Fluency in both spoken and written English and Chinese is mandatory
